it's... duh, duh, duuuuh... a RICEBALL!!! also known as an onigiri!!! yay! my first one! whooo!!!
i was so proud! then i ate it. ummm... well, to be blunt... ew. i used waaay too much salt, and i probaly should have used a couple small pieces of the bread and butter pickle, instead of one bigger-but-still-small piece. that way it would last longer. but if i hadn't used as much salt, it would have been delicous!!!
yay, go onigiri! i ate Tohru Honda*! XD
well, i'm off to make more!
btw, i used a pickle cuz we dont have any pickled plums... or none that I know of... although i can imagine my mother buying some... ew.

when Tohru was little, she used to get picked on. one day, they were playing fruits basket(hence the name of this manga) at recess. her classmates made her be the onigiri. nobody called onigiri, a riceball doesn't belong in a fruits basket. she felt this way for a long time, an outsider. until she met the Sohmas. she felt that she finaly found a place where the onigiri belongs in a fruits basket. ^-^
