Learning Japanese

I decided to learn japanese. I was watching Tokyo Mew Mew, and I had to read the captions, cuz it's in japanese. and i decided it would be ultra-cool i knew how to speak japanese.
i'm not going to learn the characters. not for a couple years, anyway. they look sooo hard. i just want to be able to SPEAK it. so far i know that ai (pronounced "aye") means love and kawaii (pronnounced like Hawaii but with a "k", kah-wah-ee) means cute. kawaii is like the eastiest word. i knew it even before i decided to learn japanese. ^_^

PS. No, this is not going to be like the time i said i wanted to learn to read braille. in my defense, the library gave me the wrong book. i wanted to LEARN it, not learn ABOUT it.
